I was Odis's Occupational Therapist at TIRR rehab hospital in Houston, Tx. and my husband, Val Torres, provided Odis with many of his wheelchairs over the years. Odis used to call me every few months but I hadn't heard from him in a while. We decided to stop by Doddridge on the way home from vacation and learned of his death from a neighbor. We found the cemetery so we could pay our respects. We both loved Odis and his large, loving personality. He was well known by numerous important rehab doctors, nurses and therapists at TIRR (The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research and was admired for his positive attitude. RIP, my lovely friend. I salute your service to our country. I thank you for being so very special to me during your life. You made the world a better place! Theresa Gregorio-Torres

My condolences to the family of Odis I was saddened to read of the passing of your dear loved one. Our Heavenly Father has given us the wonderful hope of a resurrection in the near future (Acts 24:15). Death is such a horrible thing to experience but we have the loving assurance from the Bible that God never wants to see anyone suffer emotionally or physically. (2 Cor 1:3,4). We can rely on the God of comfort to help us endure.

I am so sorry to learn of the passing of Odis. I remember Chuckie and Adrian as small boys, when I would visit your family.

Prayers
