We never talked politics. :) We watched the Cowboys together. Ida was a brilliant quilt maker; Ted and I will cherish the ones she made for us over the years. Actually two rooms in our home have pieces of Ida's handiwork hanging on the walls. She loved her family deeply and sincerely. She loved Ted's pinto beans and a good glass of bubbly. She made the best pecan pies, EVER! We will miss her desperately. Ida and The Colonel welcomed us into the neighborhood 25 years ago and we’ve been friends ever since. We never talked politics.
