Edd G. Feltus, Sr., 52 of Atlanta, Texas died 
Thursday, November 1, 2012 in Queen City, Texas. Mr. Feltus was born December 20th, 1959 in Phoenix Arizona. Edd was a full time college student and associate minister. He was a member of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, November 10, 2012 at Enon First Baptist Church with Pastor Shaun Collins, Sr. officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery, Douglassville, TX under the direction of Coleman-Atlanta Funeral Home, Atlanta, Texas. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 at Coleman-Atlanta Funeral Home.
Survivors includes: his wife, LaSonya M. Feltus; three daughters, DeShundra Lockett (Zachary), Elida Daniels (Samuel), and Charisse Feltus. Five sons, Adrian Blaylock, Jonathan Blaylock, Edd Feltus, Jr. and Ramon Feltus. His mother, Almatine Bremby; three sisters, Karen Webb, Donna Ward, Almatine (Dwight) Nelson; one brother Charles (Sadie) Feltus; 6 grandchildren: Faith, Hope and Cameron Lockett, Jayda and Mya Blaylock, Eli Feltus, and a host of nephew, nieces and friends.
I was so shocked and saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Feltus. He was a regular visitor here in the tutoring center at Northeast Texas Community College. He would come to just study quietly or meet with someone to work on an assignment. He always had a smile on his face and a cheerful hello. He will be truly missed on our campus.
It pains me to learn of Mr. Feltus’s passing. He was a very charming man and always greeted me and everyone he encountered with a smile. I enjoyed having him in the audience when the NTCC Theater Troop and myself performed. He would always greet us after the show and let us know how well we did and how much he enjoyed it. I enjoyed our conversations when we encountered each other between classes and I truly wish I would have been able to get to know him more. I am also a member of the Phi Theta Kappa International Honors Society on campus and through his outstanding academic progress, Mr. Feltus was in the process of becoming a member. Phi Theta Kappa is one of the top honors on campus and invitations are only given to the top 10%. Today during our weekly Phi Theta Kappa meeting, we agreed to award Mr. Feltus his Phi Theta Kappa status so that his academic achievements will be forever immortalized.

We were sorry to hear of the passing of Rev. Feltus. I considered him a real friend. We met and spoke together many times through the years. He loved to talk about the Lord, was always respectful of others, and conducted himself as a Christian. We will miss him. Our prayers are with his family and friends at this time of loss.

I was sad to hear of your loss. I pray that God will forever keep you under his wings. I know there are crying times right now, but weeping only endure for a time, and soon you can look back and thank God for all the good memories you have. May God continue to bless and keep each and everyone of you.
To know Edd, is to love him. I loved to share the Bible with him, hear him pray, or have him pray for me. He was a spirit filled child of God. I know he is watching over us now. This was such a shock for us to hear, but it was time for Edd to go home. He was a great inspiration to us and he will always be in our heart and memories. Our prayers are with Shell and family. Sonya, I don’t know if you will remember me. I worked for Visiting Angels and we rode together out to a client’s home in Bivins. We talked that day about your husband and how wonderful he was. When I saw his name in the paper, it sounded familiar and then I realized. I’m so very sorry for your loss. May the Lord comfort you during this difficult time. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

To know and work with Edd was an honor.. A man who helped me change my life.. my ways.. An amazing man full of love so very humble.. so very caring.. We celebrate the life of our dear brother Edd and thank God for his presence with us for this limited time that we are all subjected to. To his beautiful wife and family we say keep his legacy of love alive in your own hearts and be comforted knowing that he belongs to the ages and is at rest with his LORD and Savior Jesus Christ.

I worked with Edd for many years at Wal-Mart #2123. A buddy of mine this was his first friend their. For me he was good people. Their is so few of us shining lights that it is sad to see him go. I don’t know how heaven works but I hope to get to see him some day. I lost a buddy to almost the same circumstances so this news was hard. I am in Afghanistan and couldn’t honor your passing but know you are truly missed. May God comfort your family.
