Bonnie Rose Lloyd Ivory

 

Bonnie Rose Ivory was born on September 12, 1957, to Simel and Irene Barber in Naples, Texas. Bonnie departed this life on Monday, October 13, 2025 at her residents.   She  married Robert Ivory, and to this union two children  were born and were blessed with seven grandchildren.   She was a proud graduate of Atlanta High School, Class of 1975.  Bonnie was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church in Marietta, Texas.

Bonnie dedicated her life to serving God and walking faithfully in the purpose He laid before her each day. From an early age she mastered the gift of affection, meeting others with kindness, warmth, and love wherever she went.

Above all else, she will be remembered as a strong Black Queen of Faith who deeply loved the Lord.  She continually sought to align her words, actions, and life with her belief in God. Throughout her journey, she exemplified forgiveness, humility, generosity, gentleness, and unwavering love as a reflection of the God who lived within her. She will be deeply missed as a trusted sister, an adored cousin, a dear friend, a favored aunt, a devoted mother, and a beloved grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ivory; father, Simel Barber Sr.; mother, Irene Barber; sister, Kimberly Barber; grandson, Jeremiah Lloyd; grandmother, Rose Lloyd; and great-grandmother, NeVana Rowe.

Services will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 12:00 noon at Floyd Valley Baptist Church. with Elder Rickey  A walk-through visitation will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

She is survived by her children: Rocky (Temora) Lloyd, Jeffery (Robbie) Ivory, and daughter Loriel Lloyd Ivory,; her grandchildren: Elander, Tiauna, Xavier, Jayden, Lyric, and Lawrence Jr.; her brother, Simel Barber; brother-in law; Garris(Tracey) Ivory,  her aunt, Sadie Warren; and several loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and members of the Lloyd bloodline—whom she cherished with all her heart
