Mr. Willis Rayn Brown passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at a local hospital.
Willis, affectionately known as “Ray,” was born on August 18, 1956, in Linden, Texas, to the late Alicia Mae Neal and Albert Brown, Jr. He accepted Christ at an early age at Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.
Ray attended school in Linden-Kildare and later became a staff member with The AOICA and The South Funk Boulevard Band.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Minion Neal, Nina Mack, and Mae Warren Neal, as well as his parents, Alicia Mae Neal and Albert Brown, Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his brother, Albert Brown III (Marilyn) of Wake Village, Texas; niece, Tomeiko Brown; great-nephews, Swuan Seigle and Tripp Evans, all of Rowlett, Texas; aunts, JoAnn Newton (MC) of Los Angeles, California, and Alice Marie Mack of Kansas City, Missouri; along with a host of other relatives and dear friends.
A wake will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Coleman-Atlanta Funeral Home, 304 North Polk Street, Atlanta, Texas 75551.
A home going celebration will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Macedonia Baptist Church, 207 Grubbs Road, Linden, Texas
