Ms. Birmingham was born March 6, 1921, in the New Colony community. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Atlanta.
Survivors include six children, Brenda Smith, Billy Birmingham, Michael Birmingham and Vickie Birmingham of Atlanta, Rickie Birmingham of Dallas and Gwen Davenport of Cedar Hill, Texas; one brother, John Birmingham of Atlanta; three sisters, Helen Buchanan and Oneida Springfield of Houston and Novella Harrison of Linden, Texas; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with Jonathan Stanmore officiating. Burial will be in Pine Crest Cemetery under direction of Coleman-Atlanta Funeral Home.
Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
