Johnnie Lee James, 78, of Atlanta died Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, in Atlanta.
Mr. James was born April 28, 1935.
Survivors include one son, Darren Douglas of Atlanta; three daughters and one son-in-law, Sharon and Bobby Washington of Douglassville, Texas, Latoria Noble of Texarkana and Theresa James of Springdale, Texas; his stepfather, Hershel Ray Peoples Sr.; three brothers, Joe Peoples and Ernest Peoples of Linden, Texas, and Hershel Ray Peoples Jr. of Texarkana; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Church on the Rock, Atlanta, with the Rev. B.C. James officiating. Burial will be in Warren-Spring Cemetery under direction of Coleman-Atlanta Funeral Home.
Visitation will be noon to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.
