Johnnie Ree Green, 86, of Linden, Texas, died Saturday, August 20, 2011, in a Linden hospital. Mrs. Green was born Dec. 4, 1924, in Linden Texas. She was a homemaker and member of Southside Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, Rymond Green; one daugther, Verchie Jackson Whitmore; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at New Light Missionary Baptist Church with Tony Castleberry officiating. Burial will be in Floyd Valley Cemetery under direction of Coleman-Atlanta Funeral Home.
