Charles Edward McKinney, 78, of Atlanta died Saturday, June 10, 2017, in a Texarkana hospital. Mr. McKinney was born Dec. 5, 1938, in Douglassville, Texas. He was a member of Queen City COGIC.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Kay McKinney; five children, Charles Jefferson, Russell Stiger, Erika Allen, Pamela Jefferson and Kristy Ivery; five brothers, John McKinney, Harold McKinney, Maurice McKinney, Will McKinney and Lonnie “Cole” McKinney; three sisters, Merline Lawson, Odessi Lee and Alberta; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Enon First Missionary Baptist Church with Bishop Connie R. Jiles officiating. Burial will be in Ware Memorial Cemetery under direction of Coleman-Atlanta Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
