Earl Ray Bland, 77, of Bivins, Texas, died Friday, Sept. 7, 2018, in a local hospital. Mr. Bland was born Dec. 11, 1940. He was a lumber strapper for Anthony’s Saw Mill and a member of St. Mary’s Baptist Church, Bivins.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Cellustein and Phillip Love and Altina and Darryl Jeffries; one sister, Alice Faye Nickleberry; five grandchildren, Marshay Love, Francesca (Matt) Watkins, Sarle Jeffries, Jaylen Love and Tinadj Jeffries; three great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at St. Paul Baptist Church, Bivins, with the Rev. Arlistel Maxie officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery under direction of Coleman-Atlanta Funeral Home. The body may be viewed noon to 5 p.m., Thursday, September 13 at the funeral home.
