Spaesio Willard Mothershed Sr., 93, of Houston died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018, in a Houston hospital. Mr. Mothershed was born June 30, 1925, in Bloomburg, Texas. He was a librarian and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Juliena C.; one son, Spaesio Jr. of Houston; two daughters and one son-in-law, Willa Renea’ and Darryl Smith of Houston and Dorothy Jean Nowroozian of El Cajon, Calif.; five grandsons, Spaesio III of McKinney, Texas, Darryl Julian Smith and Kameron Neatale Smith of Houston and Ramin Nowroozian and Bijan Nowroozian of El Cajon; two great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Shady Grove Baptist Church, Bloomburg, with Willie Simington officiating. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery, Bright Star, Ark., under direction of Coleman-Atlanta Funeral Home. The body may be viewed noon to 5 p.m., Friday, October 5, at the funeral home.
