Marjel Goffney

Majel Warren-Goffney, 73 of New Boston, Texas passed away  July 8, 2020 in a Dallas Hospital.   Marjel Goffney was born in Marietta, Texas to the late George Washington Warren and Annie Lee Roberson Warren.  She attended Floyd Valley, Panhandle, Douglas High School and Bishop College, and was employed in accounting, professional modeling, and was a travel agent.

She was Miss KNOK and majorette at Bishop College. Marjel was a member
of Floyd Valley Baptist Church, Marietta, and Life Changing Ministries
of San Bernardino, California.

Marjel was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Daniel Q.
Goffney; two brothers, Oliver W. Warren and Curtis Warren; and four
sisters, Annie D. Hatley, Bennie L. Jackson, Ida Myril Warren and
Georgia M. Boyce.

Graveside service (Close Casket) will be at Floyd Valley Cemetery, Saturday, July 18, at 10:oo A.M, under the direction of Coleman-Atlanta Funeral Home.

Survivors include one daughter, Yunka Deskeyoujie Goffney; one
granddaughter, Ayana Keyoujie Pugh; one brother, Gene A. Warren of
Marietta, Texas; two sisters, Willie B. Ray & Elvira Walters of
Dallas, Texas; four brothers-in-law, Ernest Goffney of San Bernardino,
Calif., and Carl L. Goffney, Larry Goffney and Clarence Goffney of
Dallas; five sisters-in-law, Onida Warren of Dallas, Wanda Warren of
Marietta, Texas, and Emma Howard, Mary Ann Tennison and Margaret
Hartford of Dallas, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and
friends who all lover her immensely.

Marjel’s favorite saying was “To worry is to doubt God.” Don’t worry,
be concerned.
