Arrie Jewel Neal

Ms. Arrie Jewel Neal, 58, of Marietta Texas, went to be with the Lord on February 2, 2021.  She was born July 11, 1952, in Dallas, Texas to the parentage of Era Mae and J.T. Neal.

Arrie received her high school education at Hughes Springs High School in Hughes Springs, Texas in 1970. After high school, Arrie moved back to Dallas and started a career at Taylor Publishing Company where she was able to use her creative gifts and skills to develop yearbooks, class rings, and other select designs. Later, she worked at Drawing Board. Combined. she worked at Taylor Publishing Company and Drawing Board 15+ years. In 2005, she started her second career at Mesquite ISD where she served as a FNS Specialist for 15+ years until her retirement.

We will remember Arrie Jewel for her love for gospel music and her love for her family. “Cooling Water” by Lee Williams was one of her favorite songs. The love she showed her family in her own way, could be seen in the many family reunions she organized and held together for 20+ years, the huge Sunday and holiday dinners she cooked for the family and community, her dedication to providing for a host of nieces and nephews in their upbringing, and her constant dedication to helping her siblings.

Arrie was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, J.T. Jr. and Henry Earl, and a sister, Minnie Pearl.  She leaves to cherish her memories, two sisters: Jeanette and Barbara; two brothers, Rickey and Jimmy; a loving aunt, O’uieda Lee King; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Ms. Arrie Jewel Neal was a generous soul and will be missed by many.

Service Saturday 1:00 at Coleman Atlanta Funeral Home. Visitation 5:00 -7:00 on Friday at Funeral Home.
