Demeshia Lashawn Gamble, age 36, departed this side of heaven Sunday, July 16, 2023, at UT Health East Texas Hospital in Tyler, Texas. She was born on August 29, 1986, to Mr. Michael Kelly and Ms. Bernice Gamble in Atlanta, Texas. She was a 2004 graduate of Queen City High School. She was pursuing her dream career of becoming a registered nurse. Demeshia accepted Christ at a young age and attended New Beginning Church of God In Christ in Queen City, Texas.
Demeshia was a devoted mother, daughter, sister, and aunt. She loved and cared for her daughter, An’Tonianna, with all her heart. She really adored her nieces and nephews and loved all her family and friends unconditionally. She knew everyone’s birthday and would be the first to wish you a Happy Birthday, in her sweet, soft voice. Deneshia loved God, her church family and the people of God as a whole. She had great faith and a strong prayer life. She believed that every day was a day of God’s healing, as she fought the good fight of faith, year after year, living with the blood disorder, sickle cell anemia. Through it all she learned to trust God even more.
She lived her life to the fullest. She enjoyed going to church, reading her bible, singing her favorite songs of praise to the Lord and vacation bible school was one of her many favorite things about church. She loved to dance and was the star of the “Gamble Girl’s” dance group in her younger years. She was called the “TikTok dance Queen” in her last days. She loved to go on road trips with her big cousins. And yes, she loved her Dallas Cowboys too.
Demeshia was preceded in death by both her paternal and maternal grandparents, Mr. Robert and Helena Kelly & Mr. Thomas and Daisy Gamble, and her sister Lametric Gamble.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm, Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Enon Baptist Church in Atlanta, Texas with Dr. A.C. Williams officiating, under the direction of Coleman-Atlanta Funeral Home.
