Queen Ola Lockhart Dickerson

Queen Ola Dickerson, 77, of Douglassville, Texas  passed away on January 23, 2022 at Christus Health Care System, Texarkana, Texas.  Mrs. Dickerson was born October 15, 1944 to the late Preston and Josie Lockhart, Sr. in Douglassville, Texas,  She was united in Holy matrimony to Vernon Lee Dickerson, the Love of her Life,  on August 10, 1961.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving children, Ed (Doris) Dickerson of Texarkana, Texas, Diane Dickerson, Kathryn Gibson, Diana Casteel, all of Douglassville, Texas, and Sandra (Donald) Ryan of Texarkana, Texas; six grandchildren, LaToya Young of Douglassville, Tiffany Cochran of Texarkana, Ashley (Darnell) Simmons , LaTisha Haire, both of Atlanta, Tx., Shaunta Dickerson of Texarkana and Daniel Ryan of Dallas, Texas;  fourteen great grandchildren, Kanya and Kinya Simmons, Jayda Blaylock, Carmello, La’Mya, and Alexus Cochran, Devin Whitaker, Jr., Braylen & Derione Chatman, Jr., Nyeisha (Demetrius) Williams, Larissa and Darrell Williams, Jr., Carrington Warren and Ja’Maiya Mack; four great great grandchildren, Cason Davis, Josiah Williams, Keylen and Zy’lana Williams; three sisters, May Neal of Springdale, Texas, Helen (Paul) Collins and Roberta (Eddie) Dowell both of Dallas, Texas; four brothers, Elder Sammie Lockhart, Sr. of Longview, Texas, Billy (Sharon) Martin and Dave (Diana) Martin, both of Dallas Texas area, and Joe (Sherita) Martin of El Paso, Texas; Sisters-in-law, Pearlie Oliver, Annie (Austin) Shackleford, and Rosie Kidd; Brothers-in-laws, A.D. Dickerson, Turner (Lisa) Dickerson, Willie Dickerson,  and Johnny (Georgia) Dickerson; Special Sister-in-law, Maurine Dickerson; Two special cousins, Camilla Brown and Joe Gilbert Lockhart; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Queen was preceded in death by her parents, Preston, Jr. and Josie Lockhart; her husband, Vernon Dickerson; two grandsons, Tracey and Darrell Williams; two sister, Josie Mae Harper and Alberta Martin; three brothers, Roosevelt, James and Preston Lockhart, Jr.; and son-in-law, John Gipson.

Services will be 12:00 p.m., Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Linden Kildare Auditorium, Linden, Texas under the direction of Coleman-Atlanta Funeral Home with Presiding Elder Diana Casteel Officiating.

A Walk through Viewing will be from  3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Friday, January 28 at Coleman-Atlanta Funeral Home.   MASK ARE REQUIRED.

Interment will be in Gum Spring Cemetery, Douglassville, TX.

Andrew Lee Coleman, 69 of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away on January 2, 2022.    Andrew was born July 28, 1952 in Aubrey, Arkansas.

Closed Casket service will be held January 10, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Faith Temple.   The body may be viewed from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Monday, January 10, 2022 at Faith Temple.   Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of Coleman-Atlanta Funeral Home.

Service will be held at 11:00 AM at Enon First Missionary Baptist Church, Atlanta, TX, Rev. AC Williams, Pastor, on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 with Superintendent Gregory Hatley officiating.  Viewing will be held at Enon First Missionary Baptist Church from 9:15 AM to 10:45 AM on Wednesday, December 29, 2021.   PLEASE WEAR A MASK. Squire Williams Jones, Jr.,79, of Atlanta, Texas passed away December 8, 2021 at his home.    Mr. Jones was born May 4, 1947 in Atlanta, TX.   S.W. was a member of Shady Grove C.M.E. Church and retired as a Steelworker at Lone Star Steel.

Felecia Roshunne Thomas, age 46, of Queen City, Texas went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 13, 2021, in Texarkana, TX.  Felecia was born May 13, 1975 to the late Mary Heath.   She was a member of Cornerstone Assembly of God and worked as a General Manager of various businesses.

A Celebration of Life (Closed Casket) to honor her will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Cornerstone Assembly of God, 105 West Main, Atlanta, TX with Pastor John Smith, Jr.,  officiating. Service will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at Hughes Springs Community Church, 750 North Taylor St., Hughes, Springs, Tx with Bishop Jessie Biles, Sr. officiating. Burial will be at Floyd Valley Cemetery, Marietta, Tx under the direction of Coleman-Atlanta Funeral Home.

Velva Lee Collins Luckey

Mrs. Velva Lee Luckey, 84 of Marietta, TX departed this earthly journey to be with the Lord September 21, 2021 at Springs Nursing Center in Hughes Spring, TX.  She was born April 26, 1937 to the parentage of Ora Mae Collins and Richard Odell Sattiewhite.  She was raised in Cass County by her mother and stepfather, Grissom Casteel.    Mrs. Luckey was a member of Floyd Valley Baptist Church and a retiree of Day and Zimmerman Lone Star Ammunition after 35 years of service.

Mrs. Velva Lee Luckey, 84 of Marietta, TX departed this earthly journey to be with the Lord August 21, 2021 at Springs Nursing Center in Hughes Spring, TX.  She was born April 26, 1937.   Mrs. Luckey was a member of Floyd Valley Baptist Church and a retiree of Day and Zimmerman after 35 years of service.

Mrs. Tammy R. Dickerson was born September 23, 1968 to Vera M. Pickings and Billy Erving in Atlanta, TX.   She departed this earthly journey to be with the Lord August 29, 2021 at Christus Health Care System in Texarkana, TX.   Tammy  worked as a Rehab Tech for 27 years.

Graveside Services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Pinecrest Cemetery with Pastor Vera A. Brown officiating.   A walk-thru viewing will be from 12:00 noon until 6:00 p.m. Friday, September 10, 2021 at Coleman-Atlanta Funeral Home. PLEASE WEAR YOUR MASK.

Lois Nell Tumblin was born March 5, 1936 in Queen City, TX to Henry and Mary Brown.   She went to the Lord on August 29, 2021 at Christus St. Michael’s Hospital.   Missionary Tumblin was a faithful member of Springdale Church of God in Christ.
