Ruth Northcutt, 83, of Atlanta died Friday, May 3, 2019, in a local nursing home. Ms. Northcutt was born Feb. 22, 1936, in Atlanta. She was retired from Red River Army Depot and a member of Saint Paul C.M.E.

Survivors include one grandchild, Tayrell Larry; two great-grandchildren, Tayrell Jr. and Tajarion; one daughter-in-law, Sheryl Northcutt; one special friend, Harold McKinney; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Saint Paul C.M.E. with the Rev. Arlistel Maxie. Burial will be in Pine Crest Cemetery under the direction of Coleman-Atlanta Funeral Home.

J.T. Neal

J.T. Neal, 96, of Marietta, Texas, died Thursday, April 18, 2019, in Mount Pleasant, Texas. Mr. Neal was born Dec. 4, 1922. He was an Army veteran.

Survivors include two sons, Jimmy Neal and Ricky Neal; three daughters, Annie Neal, Arrie Jenel Neal and Barbara Neal; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Floyd Valley Baptist Church with elder Neotis Roberson officiating. Burial will be in Floyd Valley Cemetery under direction of Coleman-Atlanta Funeral Home. The body may be viewed noon to 5 p.m. Friday, April 26 at the funeral home.

Ella Louise Jiles, 72, of Naples, Texas, died Thursday, March 7, 2019, in Naples. Ms. Jiles was born Sept. 16, 1946. She was a retired CNA.

William M., “W.M.” Hines

William M. “W.M.” Hines, 86, of Lodi, Texas, died Monday, March 11, 2019, in a local hospital. Mr. Hines was born Nov. 12, 1932, in Lodi. He was self-employed and a member of Ebenezer CME Church.

Survivors include three sons, Raymond Hines, Alvin Hines and Maurie Hines; six daughters, Bobbie Hines, Norma Jean Hines, Dorothy Hines-Mallory, Pearly Hines-Greenleaf, Ronnie K. Hines and Karen Hines-Harris; 18 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Linden-Kildare High School Auditorium with Johnny R. Hines officiating. Burial will be in Whitaker Memorial Cemetery under direction of Coleman-Atlanta Funeral Home. The body may be viewed noon to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Clyde Nathan Jackson

Clyde Nathan Jackson, 66, of Rodessa, La., died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2019, in Shreveport, La. Mr. Jackson was born Jan. 12, 1953, in Ida, La. He was a mechanic and a member of First Antioch Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Joann Carter Jackson of Rodessa; two sons, Quentin D. Carter of Texarkana and Christopher M. Jackson of Shreveport; four sisters, Bernice Bishop of Portland, Ore., Sallie J. Simington of Rodessa, Dorothy F. Jackson of Baton Rouge and Dianne Jackson of Vivian, La.; four brothers, Claude Jackson, Willie L. Jackson, Roy J. Jackson and David L. Jackson of Rodessa; four grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services were Jan. 19 at First Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Harold Abraham officiating under direction of Coleman-Atlanta Funeral Home.

Spaesio Willard Mothershed Sr., 93, of Houston died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018, in a Houston hospital. Mr. Mothershed was born June 30, 1925, in Bloomburg, Texas. He was a librarian and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church.

Earl Ray Bland, 77, of Bivins, Texas, died Friday, Sept. 7, 2018, in a local hospital. Mr. Bland was born Dec. 11, 1940. He was a lumber strapper for Anthony’s Saw Mill and a member of St. Mary’s Baptist Church, Bivins.

Bobbie Hall

Bobbie Hall, 69, of Atlanta, TX passed away on June 5, 2018 at a local Nursing Facility.   She was born September 26, 1948, to the late Lester and Gladys Hall. She attended Booker T Washington High School in Atlanta, Texas.   Bobbie accepted Christ at an early age at Shady Grove CME church. She worked various jobs throughout Atlanta.

Services will be held, Saturday, June 16, 2018 @ 11:00 a.m. at Shady Grove CME, 1029 County Road 3324, Atlanta, TX 75551 with  Rev. Willie R. Collins, Officiating.  Viewing will be Friday, June 15, at the funeral home from noon to 5:00 p.m.    Burial will be at Shady Groves Cemetery under the direction of Coleman Atlanta Funeral Home

Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, one sister, Patsy Warren, and one son Carlos Hall.

She is survived by two loving children: Dorothy (NeNe) Hall of Atlanta, TX and Adrain (Nina) Hall of Russellville, AR, She is also survived by Seven grandchil- dren and one great grandson. Five Sisters: Dorothy Hall of Atlanta, TX, Hattie Stiger of Marshall, TX, Martha (Ben) Collins of Atlanta, TX, Glenda (Willie) Jackson of Rodessa, LA, Joyce (Freddie) Tyson of Atlanta, TX. One Brother: Michael (Timika) Hall of Texarkana, AR. One Brother-in-Law: Robert Warren; Two Aunts: Ada Appling of Stockton, CA and Nancy Truitt of Cibolo, TX. One Uncle: Kline Hall and host of other relatives and friends.

Col. Richard Lewis Cary, Sr.

Richard Lewis Cary Sr., 93, of Jefferson, Texas, died Monday, April 30, 2018, in a Bossier City, La., hospital. Mr. Cary was born Sept. 1, 1924. He was a colonel in the Army and a member of First Baptist CHurch.

Helen Roberson Titus, 89, of Jefferson, Texas, died Thursday, March 8, 2018, at her home. Mrs. Titus was born April 19, 1928. She was a member of Floyd Valley Missionary Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Titus Sr.; one son, Andrew Mondy; two daughters, Virign Mondy and Kathy L. Roberson; and three grandchildren, Derrick Piece, Johnathan Glenn Chatman and Edward Mondy.

Survivors include three daughters, Benne V. Chatman of Douglassville, Texas, Valerie Mondy Sandiford of Marietta, Texas, and Annie R. Jackson of Greenville, Texas; five sons, Samuel Roberson of Atlanta, Billy R. Mondy and Gary R. Mondy of Marietta, Ronnie R. Mondy of Farmersville, Texas, and Varice Mondy Jr. of Fort Worth, Texas; 25 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.
