LaSaul Talton, 69, of Dallas died Friday, June 19, 2015, in a Dallas hospital.

Mr. Talton was born March 18, 1946, in Douglasville, Texas. He was a member of Saint John Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sisters and one brother-in-law, Ruthi Hall of Texarkana,  Glenda Lloyd and Virginia (Matthew) Keener of Douglassville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ervin and Diane Talton of Linden, Texas, and the Rev. Leon and Louella Talton of Texarkana; a special niece, Regina Talton of Dallas; a special friend, Ida Johnson of Dallas; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Saint John Baptist Church with G.H. Rape officiating. Burial will be in Floyd Valley Cemetery under the direction of Coleman-Atlanta Funeral Home.

The body may be viewed from noon until 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Erbie Lee Haskin

Erbie Lee Haskin, 81, of Douglassville, Texas, died Friday, June 19, 2015, in Douglassville.

Mr. Haskin was born March 23, 1934, in Rodessa, La. He was employed in street maintenance for the City of Los Angles.

Survivors include one son, Anthony B. Haskin of Hawthorne, Calif.; six sisters, Winnie Johnson, Mary Bell, Lila Haskins, Catherine Conner and Katevious Haskins of Douglassville and Albert Callahan of Texarkana; seven brothers, Leo Haskins, Sammie Lee Haskins, Buddy Haskins, Johnny Haskins, Jessie Haskins and Advance Haskins of Douglassville and Curtis Wright of Tyler, Texas; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Gum Springs CME Church with the Rev. Gregory Hatley officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery, Rodessa, under direction of Coleman-Atlanta Funeral Home.

Jessie Mae Dowe, 83, of Linden, Texas, died Tuesday, April 7, 2015, in a local nursing home.

Ms. Dowe was born Nov. 9, 1931, in Linden. She was retired from Glenn and Garret and member of Macedonia Baptist Church.

She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-laws, Arlene and Lee Harris of Los Angeles, Gloria and Kevin Davis of Stockton, Calif., and Mary and Arthur Miller of Linden; one brother and sister-in-law, Mack and Faye Davis of Dallas; one sister, Lula Belle Jones of Inglewood, Calif.; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Macedonia Baptist Church, Linden, with the Rev. Paul Todd and Michael Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery under direction of Coleman-Atlanta Funeral Home.
