Mary Jean Harper, 46, of Atlanta, Texas Passed away January 5, 2015 at Christus St. Michael.   Mary was born July 22, 1969 and was a member of Hendrix Temple Church of God In Christ.

Mary Jean is survived by her daughter, Kendra Maxie, Atlanta; Mother, Willie Louise Harper of Atlanta; Three sisters, Mary Lee Johnson,  Joyce Ann Kattin of Atlanta, and Ruby Johnson of Maryland Heights, MO ; Brother, Willie Lee Harper, Jr. of Atlanta; One grandson, Javon Larry of Atlanta; host of beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Lee Harper, Sr., two brothers, John L. Harper and Roy Lee Harper, sister, Betty Louise Oliver.

Services will be held Saturday, January 16,2016 at 12:00 p.m. at the Hendrix Temple Church of God in Christ with Bishop C. David Willis officiating.  Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery, Atlanta, Texas under the direction of Coleman Atlanta Funeral Home.

Eleacia N. Johnson, 19, of Atlanta died Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015, in a local hospital. Ms. Johnson was born Jan. 8, 1996, in Atlanta. She was a member of Hendrix Temple COGIC. Survivors include her parents, Meshell Johnson and Marvin Johnson of Atlanta; and two sisters, Marcedes Johnson and Kenesha Johnson of Atlanta. Author D. Anderson 65, of Marietta, Texas, died Saturday, November 28, 2015, in Longview, Texas.

Mr. Anderson was born April 16, 1950, in Marietta.  He was a crane operator with Lone Star Steel.

Survivors include eight children, Author Anderson Jr. of Duncanville, Texas, Amanda Lewis of Cedar Hill, Texas, LaMarcia Hamilton of Longview, Texas, Natalie Cope of Orlando, Florida, Tiffany Anderson of Mount Pleasant, Texas, NaCorsha Anderson of Dallas, Texas, Neya Anderson of Texarkana, Texas and Arleesha Anderson of Mesquite, Texas; two brothers, Bennie (Pleatis) Anderson of Atlanta and Uzziah (Lena) Anderson of Cedar Hill, Texas; two sisters, Odessa Spence of Dallas, Texas, and Winnie Walker of Dallas, Texas; two sisters-in-laws, Daisy Anderson of Dallas, Texas, Gwen Anderson of Marietta, Texas; two aunts, Codella Scott of Lancaster Texas and Corine Wade of Waxahachia, Texas; fourteen grandchildren; one uncle, Homer Anderson of Dallas, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Gearldine Epps, 81, of Atlanta died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, in Texarkana, Texas.

Ms. Epps was born Aug. 4, 1934, in Shiloh, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include five sons, James R. Smith, Arthur Chandler and Andrew Epps Jr., of Atlanta, Jimmy Stiger of Oklahoma City and Jerry Chandler of Coppell, Texas; three daughters, Alice Smith of Houston, Carolyn Cook of Atlanta and Yvette Berrian of Louisiana; 36 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

V.T. Harper, 87, of Fairbanks, Alaska, died Monday, Oct. 26, 2015, in Anchorage Alaska.

Mr. Harper was born July 5, 1928, in Atlanta. He was an equipment operator and a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Fairbanks.

Survivors include three sons, Edward J. Harper of Ontario, Canada, Herbert Harper of Bivins, Texas, and Franklin Harper of Atlanta; one godson, Eddie R. Banks of Columbus, Ohio; 19 grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Ann Steger-Blaylock, 49, of New Boston, Texas, died Thursday, September 24, 2015 at her home.   Mrs. Blaylock was born March 28, 1966, in Atlanta.  She was a registered nurse with Arkansas Nursing Rehabilitation and a member of Gum Springs CME Church.

Survivors include her husband, Roderick A. Blaylock; her mother, Venita Steger; one sister, Antonia Dinese Walker; one brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Sharon Steger; and a number of other relatives.

Joe Lewis Crenshaw, 63, of Jefferson, Texas, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015, in a Longview, Texas hospital.

Mr. Crenshaw was born July 20, 1952, in Atlanta. He was a member of St. John Baptist Church, Kildare, Texas.

Survivors include six siblings, Bishop Houston Crenshaw, Leatrice Rainey, Dollie Little, Harsie Crenshaw, Mary Crenshaw and Vera Harrison.

Sandra Lorice Richardson, 75, of Atlanta died Tuesday, June 30, 2015, in Atlanta.

Mrs. Richardson was born July 6, 1939, in Atlanta. She was retired from Day and Zimmerman and a member of First Baptist Church, Atlanta. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Angela Bogan.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Charles Richardson; one son, Roderick Eric Richardson; three special friends, Sadie Blaylock, Verna Sanders and Patricia Richardson; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nine nieces and nephews; and a number of other relatives.

Curley Gilliam Coleman, 63, of Houston died Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at his home.

Mr. Coleman was born March 2, 1952, in Atlanta, Texas.

LaSaul Talton, 69, of Dallas died Friday, June 19, 2015, in a Dallas hospital.

Mr. Talton was born March 18, 1946, in Douglasville, Texas. He was a member of Saint John Baptist Church.

Survivors include three sisters and one brother-in-law, Ruthi Hall of Texarkana,  Glenda Lloyd and Virginia (Matthew) Keener of Douglassville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ervin and Diane Talton of Linden, Texas, and the Rev. Leon and Louella Talton of Texarkana; a special niece, Regina Talton of Dallas; a special friend, Ida Johnson of Dallas; and a number of other relatives.

Erbie Lee Haskin, 81, of Douglassville, Texas, died Friday, June 19, 2015, in Douglassville.

Mr. Haskin was born March 23, 1934, in Rodessa, La. He was employed in street maintenance for the City of Los Angles.

Thyra Ann Miller, 49, of Atlanta died Monday, June 1, 2015, at her home.

Mrs. Miller was born Dec. 30, 1965. She was employed with Home Healthcare and a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.

Miller; two sons, Christopher Williams Jr. and Jammie Rashad Andrews; her mother, Shirley Jean Cook; one sister, Freddie Fay Cook; three brothers, Tommy Cook, Vollie Cook and Vincent Cook; two stepsisters, Shelia Lawson and Latasha Gladney; one granddaughter; and a number of other relatives.

Clara Kathlene Oliver, 61, of Marietta, Texas, died Thursday, April 9, 2015, in a Texarkana hospital.

Mrs. Oliver was born Dec. 17, 1953, in Linden, Texas. She was a care giver and member of Floyd Valley Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband Fealto Oliver of Marietta; one daughter, Khaulynee Oliver Roberson of Tyler, Texas; one son, Patremiun Oliver of Marietta; two sisters, Venita Steger of Douglassville, Texas, and Callie Washington of Marietta; two brothers, Willie Lee Luckey and Whalen Luckey Sr. of Marietta; two granddaughters; and 5 great-granddaughters.
