Precious Lee Johnson-Rowe, 97, of Atlanta, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Heritage Plaza Nursing Center, Texarkana, Texas.  Mrs. Rowe was born April 16, 1919 in Domino, Texas.   She was a member of St. Paul C.M.E. Church of Atlanta, Texas.

Service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at St. Paul C.M.E. Church with Rev. Melvina Darty officiating and Rev. Darnell Thomas, Sr. doing the Eulogy.   Burial will be in Ware Cemetery, Domino, Texas under the direction of Coleman-Atlanta Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Friday, June 24, from 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Survivors include:  three sons; Theardis Cooksey, Jr., Billy Rowe and James Delton Johnson; one daughter, Evelyn Miles; three grandsons; Alfred Dawson, Harold and Jerold James; two granddaughters, Casandra Rogers and Angela Hunter; one grandson-in-law. James rogers, Jr.  two nieces, Mable Lee and Ozenia Sasser; three nephews, Horace Lincoln, Odis Banks and Roy Mitchell.  Mrs. Rowe was preceded in death by her parents; Gilbert and Louvenia Johnson, two brothers, Robert and Gilbert Johnson; one sister, Quley B. Banks; one daughter, Opal L. James; one niece and two nephews.

Loretha “Lorice” Lawson Tyson, 72, of Atlanta died Thursday, May 12, 2016, in Atlanta. Mrs. Tyson was born Aug. 27, 1943, in Atlanta. She was a business owner and member of First Baptist Church, Atlanta.

Survivors include her husband, Lloyd Tyson Sr.; two children, Felecia Tyson of West Bloomfield, Mich., and Lloyd, Jr. and Stacy Tyson of Wylie, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, James and Edna Grigsby of Pontiac, Mich.; one sister, Evelyn Lawson Charleston of Atlanta, TX;

five grandchildren, Aliyah Tyson of Los Angeles, CA,  Ashleigh Tyson of Waco, TX, Malik Tyson of West Bloomfield, MI, Alyssa Tyson and Alanah Tyson of Wylie, TX,  two aunts and a uncle, Oneal Lawson of Houston, TX, Mertis Johnson and Oreda Epps of Atlanta, TX; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jonathan Stanmore officiating. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery, Doddridge, Ark., under direction of Coleman-Atlanta Funeral Home. Oneida Roquemore, 95 of Bivins, Texas, quietly heard the gentle call of her Master to come home and rest from her earthly labor on March 3, 2016.  Mrs. Roquemore was born October 31, 1920 in Bivins, TX.  She was a homemaker and a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include four sons: Randolph (Elouise) Roquemore, Rudolph Roquemore, Kenneth (Gloria) Roquemore all of Bivins, Theartis (Sherrell) Roquemore of Ft. Worth; four daughters; Dorothy (James) Fuller of Ft. Worth, Margie (Manuel) Mack, Martha Roquemore, and Gertude (George) Jackson all of Bivins; seventeen grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren, 13 great-great grandchildren and a host of relatives and many, many friends.

Services will be 12 noon, Saturday, March 12 at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, Bivins, Tx with Eddie L. Mathews, officiating.  Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery under the direction of Coleman-Atlanta Funeral Home.  The body may be viewed from noon to 5 p.m. on Friday, March 11.

Jannie Pearl Steger, 72, of Douglassville, Texas, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2016, in Carrollton, Texas. Mrs. Steger was born Oct. 6, 1943, in Douglassville. She was a retired school bus driver with Atlanta ISD and a member of Jones Hill COGIC. Survivors include her husband, Curtis L. Steger; three children, Sherita Martin of El Paso, Texas, Curtis A. Stegar of Richardson, Texas, and Ketrich Steger of Telluride, Colo.; two sisters, Operine Webster of Atlanta and Bobbie Lockhart of Douglassville; three brothers, Russia Jiles of Omaha, Texas, Johnny Ray Jiles of Douglassville and Dwayne Jiles of Plano, Texas; seven grandchildren; and a number of other relatives. Services will be noon Saturday at Gum Springs CME Church, Douglassville, with Superintendent Neotis Roberson officiating. Mary Jean Harper, 46, of Atlanta, Texas Passed away January 5, 2015 at Christus St. Michael.   Mary was born July 22, 1969 and was a member of Hendrix Temple Church of God In Christ.

Mary Jean is survived by her daughter, Kendra Maxie, Atlanta; Mother, Willie Louise Harper of Atlanta; Three sisters, Mary Lee Johnson,  Joyce Ann Kattin of Atlanta, and Ruby Johnson of Maryland Heights, MO ; Brother, Willie Lee Harper, Jr. of Atlanta; One grandson, Javon Larry of Atlanta; host of beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  She was preceded in death by her father, Willie Lee Harper, Sr., two brothers, John L. Harper and Roy Lee Harper, sister, Betty Louise Oliver.

Eleacia N. Johnson, 19, of Atlanta died Thursday, Dec. 31, 2015, in a local hospital. Ms. Johnson was born Jan. 8, 1996, in Atlanta. She was a member of Hendrix Temple COGIC. Author D. Anderson 65, of Marietta, Texas, died Saturday, November 28, 2015, in Longview, Texas.

Mr. Anderson was born April 16, 1950, in Marietta.  He was a crane operator with Lone Star Steel.

Gearldine Epps, 81, of Atlanta died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, in Texarkana, Texas.

Ms. Epps was born Aug. 4, 1934, in Shiloh, Texas. She was a homemaker and a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include five sons, James R. Smith, Arthur Chandler and Andrew Epps Jr., of Atlanta, Jimmy Stiger of Oklahoma City and Jerry Chandler of Coppell, Texas; three daughters, Alice Smith of Houston, Carolyn Cook of Atlanta and Yvette Berrian of Louisiana; 36 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

V.T. Harper, 87, of Fairbanks, Alaska, died Monday, Oct. 26, 2015, in Anchorage Alaska.

Mr. Harper was born July 5, 1928, in Atlanta. He was an equipment operator and a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church, Fairbanks.

Survivors include three sons, Edward J. Harper of Ontario, Canada, Herbert Harper of Bivins, Texas, and Franklin Harper of Atlanta; one godson, Eddie R. Banks of Columbus, Ohio; 19 grandchildren; and a number of other relatives.

Ann Steger-Blaylock, 49, of New Boston, Texas, died Thursday, September 24, 2015 at her home.   Mrs. Blaylock was born March 28, 1966, in Atlanta.  She was a registered nurse with Arkansas Nursing Rehabilitation and a member of Gum Springs CME Church.

Survivors include her husband, Roderick A. Blaylock; her mother, Venita Steger; one sister, Antonia Dinese Walker; one brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Sharon Steger; and a number of other relatives.

Joe Lewis Crenshaw, 63, of Jefferson, Texas, died Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2015, in a Longview, Texas hospital.

Mr. Crenshaw was born July 20, 1952, in Atlanta. He was a member of St. John Baptist Church, Kildare, Texas.

Survivors include six siblings, Bishop Houston Crenshaw, Leatrice Rainey, Dollie Little, Harsie Crenshaw, Mary Crenshaw and Vera Harrison.

Sandra Lorice Richardson, 75, of Atlanta died Tuesday, June 30, 2015, in Atlanta.

Mrs. Richardson was born July 6, 1939, in Atlanta. She was retired from Day and Zimmerman and a member of First Baptist Church, Atlanta. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Angela Bogan.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Charles Richardson; one son, Roderick Eric Richardson; three special friends, Sadie Blaylock, Verna Sanders and Patricia Richardson; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; nine nieces and nephews; and a number of other relatives.

Curley Gilliam Coleman, 63, of Houston died Wednesday, June 10, 2015, at his home.

Mr. Coleman was born March 2, 1952, in Atlanta, Texas.

Survivors include one brother, Charles Coleman; three sisters, Mable Gilliam, Eva Mae Gilliam and Mary Harris; three aunts, Dorothy Cardwell, Shirley Gilliam and Joy Ree Pace; and a number of other relatives.
